Ghana winger Ernest ‘Nana Messi’ Nuamah wins top award in Denmark

Ernest Nuamah, a promising teenage winger, was named the Spring's finest player in the Danish Superliga.

FC Nordsjaelland's Ghanaian forward has been unanimously selected as the Superliga's best player by the league's 12 head coaches. This comes as no surprise, given the player's outstanding play this season.

The 19-year-old has tallied 15 goals and provided four assists for Nordsjaelland in all competitions this season.

Nuamah, who was recently named to the Black Stars for the first time, has experienced a meteoric rise. He rose from the sixth-best player in the league during the Fall to the top of the list with only a handful of games remaining in this remarkable season.

The Autumn's best player, Andreas Schjelderup, presented the award to the versatile winger via video message due to his current commitments with his new Norwegian club, Bodo.

Schjelderup, speaking from his Norwegian base, said, "Hey folks, it's been a pleasure following your progress over the past month. I wanted to come by and congratulate Ernest 'Nana Messi' Nuamah on being voted Spring Player of the Season by all the managers. You've undertaken significant responsibilities regarding penalties, and you've executed them exceptionally well. I enjoy watching you play tremendously."

Nuamah acknowledged his colleagues and coaches for their invaluable assistance in assisting him achieve success with the club.
