Alexander Bruce Ghartey, professionally known as Uncle Ato, a renowned Ghanaian worshipper, has opened up about his difficult days as a student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
According to him, he nearly dropped out of the prestigious postsecondary institution after failing four courses.
Uncle Ato clarified that he was humiliated because he was also serving as Vice President of the Student Representative Council (SRC) at the time.
Although he was at risk of being fired, he was given a second chance to retake the courses and improve his grades, which he said he did not take for granted.
He told Afia Amankwa Tamakloe on Adom TV M'ashase3, "During my vacation, I learned so much, and when I returned to sit for my exams, I passed by God's grace."
The period, he remarked, was one he will always cherish and be grateful to God for, as he recognizes that it was not humanly possible.
Uncle Ato disclosed that the success tale of that challenging circumstance inspired his song.
