Following their victory over King Faisal on June 187, 2022, Dreams Football Club were crowned the champions of the 2022/23 MTN FA Cup and took home the trophy at the end of the season.
Two goals from Abdul Aziz Issah and one from Sadiq Alhassan were enough for the Believers to win the FA Cup for the first time in the club's history thanks to their performance.
After only 19 minutes had passed in what was shaping up to be an exciting championship match, Dreams got off to a flying start thanks to a goal scored by Issah.
King Faisal, who were looking to enjoy glory from the cup final after suffering relegation from the Ghana Premier League, were dealt a further setback when Sadiq doubled the advantage for Dreams after a solo run in the final third of the game. King Faisal had been hoping to enjoy glory from the cup final after being demoted from the Ghana Premier League.
The Kumasi-based team was ultimately unsuccessful at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, where they played, as they were defeated by a score of 2-0 despite making a late comeback attempt.
Dreams now have their first major trophy to their name as a result of the victory, and they will get the opportunity to represent Ghana at the CAF Confederation Cup the following season.
