Four military personnel and one employee of the Ghana Immigration Service are accused of assaulting football fans at Kasoa Fiifa Pratt Park.

The Saturday, August 5 incident left one victim, Daniel Sekyere, with kidney and liver issues as well as blood in his cranium.

Daniel Sekyere is currently responding to treatment at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, where he was incapacitated for two weeks following the incident.

He described his ordeal to the media, demanded justice, and begged for assistance.

His family reported the incident to the local police station, but no action or arrests have been taken.

"While we were viewing soccer at Kasoa Fiifi Pratt Park, a fight broke out between the competing teams.

"Therefore, a fan of one of the competing teams informed his sibling, a military man, that his team was losing. Therefore, his brother accompanied his colleagues.

"They were four military personnel and one immigration officer, and they arrived in a Tundra. Upon reaching the park, they began pounding without even asking who was involved. One of the soldiers approached me, and I collapsed to the ground and became unconscious. I was severely assaulted.

"I am currently unable to walk, have been diagnosed with kidney and liver issues, and have blood in my skull."

A relative who is presently paying for his medical expenses pleaded for assistance and the arrest of the perpetrators.

"The situation is quite unsettling. We have worked so hard to raise funds from friends and family, and many acquaintances have shown their support, but it is not sufficient. We are making every effort. Myself and a few friends from college and high school are attempting to establish a GoFundMe account for him.

"As we speak, we lack the capacity because the mother is currently unemployed and at home. He was the one caring for the house when this occurred. Therefore, it is quite excruciating. We are currently struggling to pay our hospital expenses. We have received donations from friends and family members, but it has not been simple," he said.
