In relation to the impending limited voter registration activity, a Ghanaian person has obtained an interlocutory injunction against the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC).
It is the second action filed against the exercise inside 24 hours.
Ayitah Precious, a non-registered voter from Otsebleku in the Greater Accra Region, obtained an interlocutory injunction on Friday after five opposition political parties, led by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), petitioned the Supreme Court for similar relief.
The NDC and four other parties are suing the EC over the forthcoming limited voter registration period.
The next action is set to be filed in court on Monday, October 16, and is expected to derail the EC's plans for the exercise.
The Commission has set Tuesday, September 12 as the start date for the exercise throughout all of its districts.
