Pastor Ezekiel Is Arrested Upon Arrival At The Police Station In A Luxurious Lexus Worth Over KSH 17 Million

Mavueni, Kilifi- The controversial televangelist pastor Ezekiel Odero was detained on Thursday, April 27 in the morning.

He was detained for interrogation in connection with the alleged indoctrination and deaths of New Life Prayer Centre and Church members.

During his detention, it became clear that the self-proclaimed preacher is wealthy. He drove a white Lexus LX570 to the police station for questioning, where he was met.

According to autocheck.africa, the 2016 variant of the automobile costs upwards of KSh 17 million.

Police officers also extended VIP treatment to Pastor Ezekiel. One officer is seen clearing the way for him to pass in a video.

Coast Regional Commissioner Rhodha Onyancha confirmed that the self-proclaimed pastor was apprehended by joint security personnel.

Earlier, Ezekiel was questioned by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives regarding the construction of the Milele Funeral Home near his church.

According to Onyancha, the pastor was arrested after the aforementioned morgue workers corroborated multiple deaths at his church.

Police have since shut down his cult-like church in Mavueni, pending an investigation into its operations.
