His Majesty Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin, monarch of Akyem Abuakwa in Ghana, addressed students, faculty, and guests at the MacMahon Center in Jersey City before exchanging gifts with university president Eugene J. Cornacchia.

In addition, he studied political science and public administration at Connecticut's Hartford University.

Akyem Abuakwa is a region on the Guinea Bay in southern Ghana, the continent's second-most populous nation.

Nana Amoatia Ofori Panin, upon ascending the throne, promised genuine economic development, commercial expansion, and the general progress and welfare of his people.

The king spoke on Monday about his environmental efforts and conservation campaign, which has raised awareness of environmental issues and led to the creation of the Okyeman Environment Foundation to manage environmental concerns.

He has been an ardent advocate for education, healthcare, and child welfare, demonstrating a deep commitment to these causes. Osagyefuo has established initiatives throughout Okyeman, including student and teacher scholarships, library facilities, playgrounds, and community centers.

The Okyeman HIV/AIDS Education Week was created to coincide with World AIDS Day. In addition, the Ghana Society for the Blind established The Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin Fund for the Blind on his initiative. Throughout its existence, the Fund has raised substantial funds to assist the blind in the community.
