After viciously assaulting Mohammed Sakina Nasara, a female referee, the coach of a Division Two football team has been sought out by Tamale police.

When the event occurred, Tiyumba Ladies were facing Soccer Missionaries Ladies in the Northern Region Women's Division Two League at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium Annex 3 in Accra.

According to Joy Sports investigations, the alleged coach, Iddrisu S. Napari, is now missing after the police issued a wanted warrant for his arrest after receiving a complaint from the referees wing of the Northern Regional Football Association.

"The police made two trips to his house, but they couldn't locate him. He is actively evading capture. Nasara has been visited by the Northern Regional FA in the hospital, and her condition is stable, according to Tamale-based sports journalist Sey Mubarak for Joy Sports.

According to reports, Nasara angered Napari by giving Tiyumba Ladies an indirect free kick when a teammate passed the ball to the goalkeeper and she scooped it up.

The coach then gave the order for his team to leave the field, stating that they would only resume play if the ruling was overturned. However, the referee maintained her position.

Coach Napari, who is allegedly notorious for his involvement in such occurrences, then attacked Nasara.

The referee is currently seeking treatment at the Tamale Technical University Medical Hospital for a variety of injuries that he acquired to differing degrees.
