Abena Osei-Asare, Deputy Finance Minister and Member of Parliament for Atiwa East in the Eastern Region, stunned colleagues last Saturday when she participated in a Health Walk for New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate John Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten.

As they walked through Accra's Principal Streets in the "'Aduru Wo So Health Walk" to raise funds for the candidate, the trained chartered accountants were seen grinning broadly and displaying an athletic demeanor.

This becomes the second in its series after a similar one was held in Kumasi but this time the involvement of some key members of the NPP including the Member of Parliament for Anya Sowutoum and a member of Alan for President 2024 campaign team Dr. Adomako Kissi, MP for Ngleshi Amanfrom Sylvester Tetteh, MP for Tema West Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah and Former Communications Director of the NPP Yaw Buabeng Asamoah was the major highlights.

Many, however, were surprised by the emergence of Abena Osei-Asare, whose colleague and Ejisu Constituency Member of Parliament (MP), Dr. John Kuma, supported Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to him, Dr. Bawumia is the finest candidate for the party in 2024 because he is competent and well-liked by party members.

Dr. Bawumia is a voice of optimism for this nation, particularly in these trying times.

Dr. Bawumia is one of the voices in this country that speak words of encouragement during these difficult times.

"You need individuals who understand how to reform the current system and add value to what President Akufo-Addo has started."

"The 'Ghana beyond Aid' initiative, which must result in 'Africa beyond Aid,' requires a new level of thinking, innovation, and digitalization," said Kumah.

Kumah added, "We believe in Dr. Bawumia's vision and what he represents for this country because it is possible." "In every circumstance, you need somebody who believes that something new can be done to achieve better results."

"Dr. Bawumia embodies this optimism. He is the country's best hope. He is the hope of the youth and 'Africa beyond aid.' He is Ghana's hope, and it is possible," he added.
