Michael Afrane, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) activist and Kumawood actor, attributes James Gyagye Quayson's victory in the recently concluded by-election in Assin North to the dedication and loyalty of party members and executives who were designated various roles in the constituency.
"Some NPP executives came to Assin North to sleep with women in various hotel rooms, not to campaign for their candidate," he claimed.
In an interview with Ambassador TV monitored by MyNewsGh.com, he stated, "When NDC executives and members were on the ground massively campaigning for James Gyagye Quayson, some NPP executives were engaging in 'point and kill' of women."
Michael Afrane told Osei Kwadwo, "Although NPP executives and their campaign team were unable to campaign massively for their candidate Charles Opoku because they had no message for the people of Assin, bad luck contributed to their loss."
"We went to Assin North for the by-election and campaigned for our parliamentary candidate, but some NPP executives were changing sex positions in their hotel rooms instead of campaigning on the grounds," he added.
"When going to war, you must remember that you must be both physically and spiritually strong... therefore, you need a pure soul to win the war, but not to sleep with women.
Some NPP members, including their executives, teased us (NDC members) when they saw us campaigning for James Gyagye Quayson because they believed they had already won the election, he remarked.
According to him, prominent members of the NPP did not campaign for a candidate in order to win the election, but rather went on womanizing binges.
"How can you win this crucial election when some of your leaders are changing s*x positions in hotels?" "How can you win elections if your leaders are not on the campaign trail, but rather lounging with women in trendy bars?" He inquired.
