It has been revealed that twin sisters murdered their older brother in Cross River State for selling their father's property.
According to Crossriverwatch, identical twins Ikwo and Idak Effiom Effiong allegedly lured and murdered their older brother Kokoette Effiom Effiong for their father's land in Ikot Nakanda, Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River State.
The pair, who are now in police custody, claimed ignorance regarding their brother's acquisition of a substantial amount of money from the sale of their father's property without sharing the proceeds.
According to AwardNobs, they requested that the proceeds from the sale of another parcel of land be split evenly among all of the siblings. However, the refusal of their sibling to do so led to the conspiracy and plot for his murder.
A family member who requested anonymity stated that Kokoette was fatally stabbed in the cranium by the twins during their attack.
Otop Idebe, Kokoette's cousin, described how the sisters lured Kokoette from the house and attacked him in a bush outside their home, inflicting severe wounds to his head and extremities.
The police have apprehended the suspects for further investigation.
