Rapper YPee from Ghana, who is based in Kumasi, has refuted Oseikrom Sikanii's assertion that he received GHC 20,000 for a performance in Kumasi.

Ypee said that he, not Oseikrom Sikanii, is the one who can command such enormous sums of money during an appearance on The Delay Show.

The "Kwacha" rapper stressed his own stature within the music industry and his perceived worth as a musician. He is at odds with self-made Ghanaian rapper and erstwhile close buddy Oseikrom Sikani about domination and popularity in the music industry.

"I receive these higher salaries, not Oseikrom Sikani. Who in Kumasi will offer Oseikrom Sikani $20,000? He asked.

In addition, Ypee voiced his surprise at the stated payment sum for Oseikrom Sikanii. implying that he is the artist who has the ability to demand such substantial fees for his performances in Kumasi.

“I am not sure he can charge that amount. I am the one who can charge those figures, not him,” he confidently asserted.

He further stressed that he was on a higher status than Oseikrom and the new crop of rappers hence he was a role model figure to him

“Oseikrom and co are my kids, I came to meet the likes of Flow Kingstone, Cabum and Strongamnan but in our generation, all these boys look up to me. They’re my kids,” he pointed out.
