Ansgar Knauff, a German-born Ghanaian winger for Eintracht Frankfurt, is overjoyed to be back in action after his broken collarbone mended sooner than planned.

The 21-year-old sustained the injury before of the European U21 Championships in June, shutting him out of the competition, and was anticipated to return in the middle of August.

Knauff, on the other hand, has recovered from his injury and played in Frankfurt's pre-season friendly against Nottingham Forest last Saturday.

"It took two or three weeks less now." I've had a couple duel experiences. "Everything held together," Knauff claimed.

"I'm just glad I was able to play again after rehab and that I'm ready to start the season."

"Of course it gnawed, but it was also an incentive to do more in training, to step on the gas and look for a chance," the right-footed player admits.

Frankfurt signed the winger, who can play on either the right or left flank, permanently from Borussia Dortmund this summer for roughly €5 million.

"Even though things didn't go as planned, I've taken a good path here at the club and taken many steps forward." "I'm also convinced that my path does not end here," Knauff remarked.

During his loan tenure with Frankfurt, Knauff appeared in 52 games across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing five assists.

He was instrumental in the Bundesliga team winning the UEFA Europa League in 2021-22.
