B/ER: Church Must Partner Government For National Development

Tue, 29 Aug 2023 Source: Nana Boateng kakape

Nana Prince Nyarko Ababio who is a National Officer for African Faith Tabernacle Church, says the church must work closely with the government to build and ensure national cohesion and development.

The church has a greater role to play in shaping the minds of the people and redirecting their efforts in transforming and building a nation that stands tall among other nations, not only the work of the government.

He said the church also has a duty to help Ghanaians cope with difficulties they may encounter in their daily lives as they stuck with their faith and beliefs.

From him the church gets money from the members, and it is about time they give back the money through creating of jobs, establishment of schools, hospital and to the extent of giving scholarships to the members of the church. We don't have to put all on the government, where owners of this congregation can help.

"We should stop building of big mission houses which does not add any thing to the growth of the church members, we can give them some money to start their own business rather than building of mission houses and buying of expensive cars for only pastor". He said.

Nana Prince Nyarko Ababio, took it upon himself to sponsor this year's convention and remembrance of Superior Prof David Kwame Nkansah ( Odifor Nkansah) by paying for all transport, feeding, and hotels of every member who showed up at event.

He said the AFTC is going to focus more on growth through evangelism, missionary work, education, hospitality, youth employment and strengthening its Prophetic Ministry which has been the bedrock of its faith.

He added that, sometimes members wish to come to such gatherings, but because of these little things they are unable to make it.

He said this when the members of African Faith Tabernacle Church met at Nkoranza in the Bono South Region to celebrate their yearly convention and remembrance of their great Superior Prof. David Kwame Nkansah popularly known as Odifor Nkansah.

The four-day meeting, which forms major part of the activities, brings members of the church including those outside Ghana together.

Awards were given to the best singing group in the church, most vibrant youth leader, active youth and youth group, the best region or branch in terns of social and economic development etc.

He concluded by advising all the youth in the country especially African Faith Tabernacle Church Youth that, it's about time they have to hold on their faith and believe well because the devil is at work looking for a way to destroy children of God and promised the church is going to do more to support any government so that the youth will get more jobs.
