BEEFING UP SECURITY: AKYEM SWEDRU MP COMMISSIONS NEW POLICE STATION IN AKYEM ADUASA

The Member of Parliament for Akyem Swedru Constituency in the Eastern region of Ghana, Hon. Osei Nyarko Kennedy, as part of measures to beefing up security system for his constituents together with his District Chief Executive Hon. Asare Danso have commissioned a new police station building funded with MP's common fund for the good people of Akyem Aduasa.




Speaking to the media during the commissioning of the police station building, Hon. Osei Nyarko Kennedy stated that although there is hardship in the country, competent Government led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is doing everything possible to meet the needs of the citizens which has been his motivation to also get his constituents their share of the national cake in terms of infrastructural development.

He has therefore appealed to the good people of Akyem Aduasa to exercise patience for the Government concerning their main road from Akyem Swedru to Akyem Aduasa as the contractor will be resuming duty on ending of January 2023, and would do all his best to ensure that their road construction work is completed before the 2023 ends.

The District Chief Executive for Birim South, Hon. Asare Danso speaking to the media revealed that when it comes to security matters, the district is very peaceful and security conscious although the number of police personnel is not much and would appeal to IGP to post more men into the District for effective policing.


The Akyem Oda Police Divisional Commander, Rev. Dr. Adane Ameyaw speaking to the media also called on Chiefs, MP, DCE and all the people of Akyem Aduasa to get involved in ensuring good security in the area and also advised all Police Personnel who will be working in the community to desist from any bad behaviors which doesn't correspond with their work.
