E/R DESIST FROM HANDLING CRIMINAL MATTERS IN THE PALACE, ALLOW THE COURTS TO WORK... TRADITIONAL AUTHORITIES URGED

The Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana , Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah in a speech delivered on his behalf has urged the traditional authorities in Ghana to desist from addressing criminal matters in the palaces and allow the full rigours of the law to apply the as the suspect are to be taken through the due process at the court.




Speaking on behalf of the Chief Justice during the commissioning of the Kwahu Circuit Court Complex funded by Nana Owiredu Wadie I, the Development Chief of Kwahu Nkwatia, His Lordship Richard Adjei Frimpong , a Judge at the Court of Appeal urged all Ghanaians to have confidence in the court process and make good use of the facility by referring all criminal cases to the courts rather than resorting to addressing such cases at the palaces. He added that, the court houses are national assets and must be cherished, protected and maintained appropriately for prosperity.

The Development Chief of Kwahu Nkwatia also the Founder of Kabaka Foundation Nana Owiredu Wadie I who funded the Kwahu Circuit Court said whenever God bless you do not think only about yourself but think about the poor and what you can do to benefit the entire community you live.

The Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency, Bryan Acheampong, stated that, in the next three years, all the courts in the Kwahu enclave will be refurbished to as part of the broader Kwahu agenda to make sure that, peace and security are provided to people.
