The Chief of Osino, Osabarima Adu Darko has urged drivers to be more vigilant on the roads as the yuletide approaches to avoid road carnages, stating that, the accidents that, occurs on our roads during the eve of the Christmas has nothing to do with the devil but rather as a result of the recklessness of the drivers. He gave the advice during the commissioning of the Osino car terminal in the Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern region.
According to the District Chief Executive Officer, Ernest Ofosu who was speaking at the commissioning of the car terminal, the move to provide the facility was due to the deplorable state of the then car terminal which the drivers has consistently complained to the Assembly. He pointed out to the drivers that, nobody should attempt washing vehicles in the new station so that, the facility can last longer. He urged the drivers, now that, a befitting station has been provided for them, packing on the roadsides will not be entertained.
The Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa South, Kofi Okyere Agyekum also revealed that, all the roads in the District capital has been awarded contract and work will commence soon give facelift to the area and appealed to the drivers to corporate when the work begins.
