H E Charles Owuradu Donates Street Lights To Fight Crime, Encourage Night Life

The Ambassador for Ghana to south Africa H. E Charles Owuradu has presented over 500 street lights to the various electoral areas to combat insecurity in Abirem constituency.




The donation was made as part of efforts to significantly improve the security system in the Constituency, particularly at night, in order to drastically reduce the number of theft and robbery cases.

According to H E Charles Owuradu , security has been a major challenge for the Constituency for sometime, and there is a need to implement stringent measures to address it.

“All those who have followed this Constituency since the inception of the 1992 democratic dispensation, will attest to the fact that security, especially for those in Abirem and environs, has been one of the biggest nightmares in the Abirem Constituency, he added”


He said that whenever he visits a household in the Constituency, particularly in Abirem, they will never express any grievance without mentioning security, and that has become one of his most difficult challenges.

The Abirem NPP constituency chairman Mr. Baffour Bannor Barimah Bannor received the donations on behalf of the consistuency and promise to deliver it as soon as possible to protect the lives of the citizens.

According to Mr. Baffour, the street lights will go a long way toward combating crime throughout the consistency.
