Series of spiritual reawakening programs were organized at Presbyterian Church, Koforidua by the leadership of Ascension Congregation of the Church to end the year 2022 and to mark the beginning of 2023.
Prayers and Fasting, Educational talk, Thanksgiving & Prayers for Drivers and Traders are some of the programs.
All those were crowned with Educational talk for parents on Importance of Prayers and Protection for Children and then Anointing and dedication of Vehicles to God.
The team leader and minister in charge of the church, Rev Justice Kwame Asumeng, spoke about the vulnerability of children and therefore the need to get them protected.
He said for that purpose, our forefathers dedicated children to idols which they mounted in their homes.
Rev Justice Asumeng said if by the grace of God, we now have Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we have to seek true protection of our children through HIM by prayers and anointing.
Furthermore, Rev Asumeng said the team advised the children to have enough sleep to be refreshed for the next schooling activities.
The children should be studious and be respectful.
Rev Asumeng spoke about importance of anointing vehicles.
He said it is clear that the 'Wrestle Against Principalities and Powers' still ranges on.
More to that, the Rev minister and leader of the spiritual team said aforementioned descriptions make it very necessary to get vehicles cleansed of evil powers.
He said there are many accidents which are discribed unrealistic or abnormal because one cannot imagine why those accidents should occur.
He said all such accidents are traced to activities of unseen powers.
Rev Asumeng therefore, directed all to take wise steps and get their vehicles anointed to bring them under the canopy of the Almighty God.
The final activity saw numbers of car anointed and dedicated to God.
The drivers were advised to learn the rudiments of driving and then pray whenever they are to start driving.
Rev Asumeng said those are what car owners and drivers need to do to get protected from unrealistic accidents.
