Mr Emmanuel Obiri Addo, the CEO of MeBoafo foundation in Asamankese in the west Akyem municipality has asked drivers in the country to observe traffic rules and road signs to ensure an accident-free Christmas and new year .
He specifically asked them to avoid over speeding, wrongful overtaking, overloading, taking passengers at unauthorised places and packing at unauthorised places to prevent carnage on the roads.
Speaking to Journalist , Mr Emmanuel urged station masters and overseers at the various lorry parks to ensure that discipline prevailed there.
He therefore plead to drivers to have enough rest to prevent accident
He cautioned drivers against alcoholism reminding them of the slogan “If you drive don’t drink and if you drink don’t drive.”
Mr Emmanuel advised passengers not to encourage drivers to over speed so that they could reach their destinations early.
Drivers to report passengers who they might suspect of using their vehicles as avenues to indulge in drug and human trafficking and other criminal activities, he added
