The Speaker of the House, Mr. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, ordered the Finance Minister to appear before the Finance Committee of the House on Thursday to provide an update on the Government's Debt Restructuring Program.
The Finance Committee would discuss the report with the Ministry of Finance, he said, and would then provide their findings in the form of a report to the House for discussion and either adoption or rejection by the House.
The Minority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, moved that the House invite the Finance Minister to deliver the Government's Debt Restructuring Programme to Parliament for discussion. The Speaker then gave the motion the go-ahead.
