The National Democratic Congress (NDC) member and member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of the United Kingdom, Bernard Oduro Takyi, also known as B.O.T, has claimed that the Akufo-Addo-led administration may resort to questionable tactics to maintain power before the 2024 general elections.
He claimed that the Akufo-Addo administration can do anything to stay in power given the NPP-led government's poor performance in governance and tendency to grip onto power after Akufo-Addo leaves office.
He mentioned a palace coup as one of the strategies for maintaining power.
Senior military officers overthrowing a sovereign or government without violence is known as a palace coup.
