At this year's Ghana Music Awards UK, Reggie Rockstone will get a special award in recognition of his commitment to the development of Ghana's music industry.
The Royal Regency Palace Manor Park in London will host the event on October 29, according to the organizers. The award is granted to those in the music industry who have significantly influenced Ghanaian music.
Ghana's hiplife music style, which first appeared in the early 1990s, is largely considered as having its origins with Reggie Rockstone.
Artists like Camido, Kelvin Boy, Joyce Blessing, Diana Hamilton, D-Black, and Sefa are among the list of nominees for the sixth edition of the awards.
Annually, the Ghana Music Awards UK honor the dedication of Ghanaian musicians working in both Ghana and the UK.
The organizers will also honor several important industry figures who have earned their place in the creative sector.
