Ghana's Minority Chief Whip, Governs Agbodza, pointed out what he sees as a concerning financial issue related to Kotoka Airport Terminal 3. Agbodza noted that the terminal, constructed under the NDC government, cost approximately $250 million.
However, the NPP government allegedly awarded a contentious contract to a Nigerian businessman, amounting to over $88 million, which accounts for more than 30% of the original terminal construction cost.
This substantial expenditure was linked to Covid-19 testing at the same airport.
Agbodza further highlighted that, despite these expenditures, the NPP government, through the Ghana Airport Company Limited, has been vocal about its financial constraints.
The tweet from the Minority Chief Whip has sparked discussions about transparency in government contracts, allocation of funds, and financial responsibility.
