Randy Abbey, an Executive Member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has confirmed that he will not be running against Kurt Okraku for the presidency of the association in the upcoming elections.
Okraku, whose term ends in October 2023, is seeking re-election and is expected to face strong competition during the upcoming Congress.
Despite speculation, Abbey, a former coach who led Heart of Lions back to the Ghana Premier League, has stated that he is not interested in pursuing the GFA presidency.
In a recent interview, Abbey made it clear that the position is not a target for him and that he has never considered it. Meanwhile, Okraku has expressed confidence in his chances of retaining the presidency.
