Ohemaa Mercy Explains Why She Said Taking Selfies During Worship Is A Curse

Ohemaa Mercy, a gospel superstar, has clarified why she believes it is a curse to record videos or selfies in church during worship services.

According to her, there are certain restrictions when appearing before a monarch. To put it another way, you're approaching the King of Kings and Lord of Lords to thank him for protecting or rescuing you from that disaster, but you're focused on posting it on Facebook or whatever else during worshipy.

"It's a curse on you because you don't respect the environment and the person you're in front of," she said on Monday's Joy Prime morning program.

The 'Ote Me Mu' singer based her arguments on the fact that high-class humans are respected in society, much less the God who is the universe's creator.

The gospel singer based her remarks on an encounter she had at an event she attended several years ago.

"Actually, worship was occurring when the Lord opened my eyes and revealed vacant chairs. There was a woman who entered, and before she did, I saw an apparition holding a child on her chair. So, when I held the microphone, I asked the woman if she was having trouble conceiving, and she said yes.

I then told her, "I saw an angel holding a baby, but you didn't come to worship, and when you did, you weren't serious, so the angel left with your child."

She firmly believes that such practices during worship deprive churchgoers of their privileges.

In response to the question of whether media personnel who cover worship services can be considered to be under a curse, she stated that they are an exception because it is part of their profession.

"Their task is what they have been assigned. She asserted, "God even sees them as the work they are doing, which distinguishes them from you, who are there on a mission or purpose."

The gospel singer believes that God considers the media personnel's task to be part of the gospel ministry.

Prior to that, the 'Aseda' lyricist advised all Christians to refrain from taking selfies and personal videos during worship in order to remain focused and be delivered or touched by God.

In the interim, Ohemaa Mercy is scheduled to conduct the tenth edition of her Tehillah Experience concert at the Oil Dome, Royalhouse Chapel International on August 13, 2023.

This year's edition, entitled "Fire and Fragrance," will feature notable gospel vocalists such as S.K. Frimpong, Ceccy Twum, Diana Hamilton, Kofi Osei Peprah, and Uncle Ato.

The gospel musician is certain that the 10th Tehillah Experience 2023 will leave a lasting impression on the audience.
