Wei Ye Oteng, a well-known music producer from Ghana, has criticized a man who claims to resemble the popular musician King Promise.
The man, who now goes by the name King Promise Jnr, appeared on the Best Entertainment Show on Okay FM hosted by Halifax Ansah Addo on April 14, 2023. During the interview, King Promise Jnr boasted about being part of a group called the "four-man lookalike association" and offered registration to others for a fee of Ghc500.
King Promise Jnr claimed that the money would be used to help the person look like their celebrity lookalike, and that they were "unique lookalikes." However, Wei Ye Oteng responded to the video by calling the man a clown and stating that his claims were completely false. Oteng, who is also the manager of Ghanaian musician Obrafour, added that the man needed more enhancement himself than the people he was asking to pay for the registration fee.
The video has received various reactions on social media, but Oteng's response highlights the importance of being genuine and authentic, rather than trying to imitate or profit off of someone else's success.
