Fast-Rising Division-3 side YorkTown Football Club qualifies for National-middle-league play-offs in Cape Coast.
YorkTown Football Club is one of the biggest revelations to have taken storm the central plains of the Ghanaian football terrains. Based in Accra, the club is built on the principle to offer platforms for young and developing footballers within their catchment areas and also fine tune the raw talents within their operational areas , while improving economic activities as well.
YorkTown Fc, after a successful league campaign in the third tier of the Ghanaian football hierarchy, demonstrated their quality standards in the just ended sub-middle league in Zone A of Awutu Senya in the central region and has gotten tongues wagging with their goal scoring ability.
YorkTown Fc as part of the Sub-middle league playoff faced strong counterparts namely; Rainbow fc, Swedru destiny and Duapong heroes, which saw their skipper Ronald Forson named best player after splendid displays.
Being a new team has not been a barrier but a great chance to showcase their ability in winning their games and eventually drew twice and won once to qualify for the National middle-league playoff to be held in Cape-coast this year.
YorkTown has disciplined, well-trained, and skillfull players who have showcased their qualities and won the hearts of many. The Accra-based club does not only consider their success, but the well-being of young-talented footballers who aim to compete at the world stage.
The club however, have archieved several remarkable feats in the Ghanaian football sphere, given it short term lasting in the system to have shipped about 15young footballers to European clubs in France, Germany, Spain, Slovakia, Sweden and Norway.
