Presidential Advisor of Health Dr. Anthony Nsiah Asare has stated that 30 students of the University of Ghana were tested as part of contact tracing. He made this statement on Asempa Fm’s Ekosiisen.
Students of the University of Ghana were asked to go home following a directive by President Akufo Addo to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus Covid-19.
Prior to the directive, the University suspended all lectures.
The announcement was made by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu after it was announced that Ghana has recorded four additional cases of COVID-19.
Prof Owusu asked residential students to stay on campus while non-residential students were asked to stay at home.
