The Coalition of Small Scale Miners of Ghana have served notice that, they will go on demonstration on the 26th June 2018, to press home their demand for government to lift the ban on small scale mining.
According to them, government’s intention to lift the ban is not enough, rather want government to announce the date it will lift the ban. This follows government’s intention to lift the ban.
Speaking to Amanie News, the chairman of the coalition of small scale miners, Mr. Moses Baba Kyerenaa says, they have waited far too long for government to lift the ban, but to no avail.
“We are trying to do that, but the fact is, every time, government won’t come out to tell us the date and the time they want to lift the ban. Almost one and half year down the line and we kept on waiting, hence we are going on demonstration at any moment from now. We are demanding a date to be out not announcing the lifting of the ban” He stressed
