A heated exchange occurred in court between NDC Communications Officer Sammy Gyamfi and Justice Afia Serwah Asare-Botwe during the ambulance purchase trial involving Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson on May 28.
The dispute began when Justice Asare-Botwe objected to Gyamfi's comments. Gyamfi refused to accept the judge's characterisations, leading to a more intense exchange until former Attorney General Marrietta Brew Appiah-Oppong intervened and called for calm.
The judge then invited the parties for a private discussion.
Justice Asare-Botwe had earlier warned against attempts to scandalise the court or manipulate public opinion ahead of her judgment.
