Justice Afia Serwah Asare Botwe has barred media commentary on the ongoing criminal case involving Ato Forson and Richard Jakpa, citing borderline contemptuous remarks on submitted evidence.
The judge expressed concern about commentary from lawyers involved and uninvolved in the case, as well as media interviews granted by Jakpa.
The order aims to protect the court's sanctity, noting that the Ghanaian public can follow the case through media reports and live streams.
Justice Asare-Botwe emphasized that no one should comment on the weight of the evidence or make prejudicial remarks during the trial.
