The General Secretary of Ghana’s biggest opposition party, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia is a “smart” and “honest” man, a retired political science lecturer of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr Richard Amoako Baah has observed.
“It’s kind of funny”, the failed Chairman-aspirant of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) told Benjamin Akakpo on Class91.3FM’s Executive Breakfast Show on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, that, “I see him [Johnson Asiedu Nketia] talk, he’s a smart guy and, to some extent, he is even honest”.
“Except”, Dr Amoako Baah noted, that the NDC stalwart “attacks” from angles that “if you’re not careful, you’ll think he’s just saying some nonsense but what he’s saying has a basis, except it is slanted toward one side”.
The Chairman of the GRATIS Foundation made the comment while recalling an encounter he had with Mr Asiedu Nketiah on radio some time ago when people “smeared” his reputation by claiming that his PhD was fake.
Dr Amoako Baah said Mr Nketia, too, repeated the allegation and he contemplated suing him for defamation in addition to some media houses he had already sued, but “I was too tired”.
