Fugitive Rosewwod ‘Queen’ Helen Huang has been recaptured after jumping bail about six weeks ago.
The 43-year-old Chinese national was arrested in Tamale about two months ago for attempting to transport the banned forestry product packed into two tracks.
Police arrested her when she reported herself after her return from her country, China, where she’s been hiding since she escaped. An earlier unconfirmed report said she was hiding in neighbouring Togo.
She was arraigned before court Tuesday morning but the Judge referred the matter to the Immigration Service to look into the documents of the Helen Huang for further action.
Helen Huang two days after her first arrest was declared missing two days after being granted a police Inquiry bail.
She accused checkpoint officers of demanding a ¢8,000 bribe before her arrest.
