Mr Gibril Mohammed Mahdi, Aspiring National Organiser for opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has stated that commitment and hard work would reinstate the confidence the citizenry has for the party and return it to power.
Mr Mahdi said sacrifice, commitment and mobilising the people at the grassroots level to inspire them with the needed messages would rebuild the collapsed trust and confidence the people had for the party in order to give it the nod to continue its good works to promote the quality livelihood they were seeking.
Mr Mahdi said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency on Thursday to reaffirm his intentions to contest the position to mobilise the electorate at the grassroots and educate them on the need to bring back the party to power.
Mr Mahdi said he had in stock lots of experience to unite and mobilise the people for victory, and indicated that he was focused at strengthening the branch and ward executives to understand the policies of the party.
He pointed out that he would discourage the funfair organisation the party had been engaging in and adopt effective available means to inspire the people to make them participate in the decision-making process.
Mr Mahdi said in line with the collective resolve to re-organise the party to recapture power as speedily as possible, there was the need for him to come in with strategies that would aid the party to battle the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) come 2020 general election.
He mentioned that the party needed an organiser who does not only have the commitment, the wit and mettle to mobilise effective election winning machinery, but also one that possessed the experiences to deliver political victory with efficiency.
“Yes 2020 is possible, but only with efficient pair of hands that can re-energise the people and effectively mobilise infallibility within in and out the party.” he added.
The Aspirant urged his fellow NDC supporters to unite and trust in him to serve with commitment to bring victory to the party come 2020.
