Senior Lecturer of the University of Ghana Psychology Department, Dr. Inusa Abdul Nasiru has donated personal protection equipment (PPEs) to frontline workers in the Krachi Nchurumu District in the Oti Region to help them fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
The medical equipment includes 7,200 nose mask, 1,000 hand gloves, 2,500 disposable gowns, and 1,440 cannulas.
According to him, the donation is part of efforts to end the global pandemic.
Speaking to UniversNews, Dr. Inusa Abdul Nasiru urged the public to stay calm and adhere to precautionary measures outline by the Ghana Health Service to stop the spread of the virus.
Ghana has so far confirmed 204 cases of the novel coronavirus, with five death.
About 49 persons have been discharged from the hospital for home treatment and three others, discharged after full recovery.
