Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Sam Nartey George, says persons who tagged the erstwhile John Mahama administration as one that was corrupt are now eating back their words following the assumption of office of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in 2017.
According to him, the National Democratic Congress is now described by many as a party of Saints over what he believes to be the increasing number of scandals that have hit the NPP government since it took over the reigns of power.
He says that the Akufo-Addo-led administration is one that epitomizes corruption.
“For those who accused the NDC of being corrupt, today many of them are calling us saints because this government epitomizes corruption. From the head down to the least person in the party embody corruption, nepotism and incompetence, and they sharing bracing arrogance of power”
The NDC stalwart, speaking on Citi TV’s Point of View, further accused the NPP government of being one that does not listen to the plight of Ghanaians
“When people are struggling to find their feet for three square meals, you have people going on cruise ships in exotic islands and when you complain, they tell you to keep quiet.”
Sam George added that the NPP government, unlike the NDC, remains intolerant and unreceptive to criticism.
“The NDC is very receptive to criticism. Ghanaians criticize us and we back up.”
