Kwaku Ansa-Asare, former Director of the Ghana School of Law, has renewed his call for Attorney General Godfred Yeboah-Dame to resign following a leaked tape involving him and Richard Jakpa, a defendant in an ambulance procurement case.
Ansa-Asare argues that Yeboah-Dame’s continued tenure undermines the justice system's integrity.
The Accra High Court recently rejected an inquiry into Yeboah-Dame's conduct but advised him to recuse himself. Despite this, Yeboah-Dame insists on continuing the prosecution.
Ansa-Asare maintains that resignation is the honorable choice, citing concerns over potential witness tampering and the need for impartial justice.
