Director of Electoral Services at the Electoral Commission (EC), Dr. Serebour Quaicoe has said in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com that the Commission has been transparent in its dealings with the various political parties including the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to the him, it is always heartbreaking hearing people talk ill about them when in actual sense, claims made are unfounded because they lack basis.
“Do we have the backing of the law? Will, what we are doing be in the interest of the nation? That is what we think about,” he said on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen.
Dr. Quaicoe who appeared worried about the description given to them said personnel at the EC have a clear conscience to work for the country and are doing so within the law.
He, therefore, pleaded with Ghanaians to credit the EC with some credibility and dignity because the staff of the EC was men who work with integrity.
The EC official also urged Ghanaians to focus on the Electoral Commission instead of personalizing issues with the Chairperson, Jean Mensa.
