Deputy Attorney-General Alfred Tuah-Yeboah has questioned the authenticity of an audio tape released by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which purportedly features a conversation between Attorney General Godfred Dame and Richard Jakpa, the third accused in an ambulance purchase trial.
Speaking at Amnesty International’s Human Rights and Death Penalty Report 2023 launch, Tuah-Yeboah dismissed the NDC’s claims and defended Dame, asserting that the tape has no bearing on the ongoing court case.
The NDC has called for Dame’s resignation, but Tuah-Yeboah affirmed Dame's commitment and health, noting he will return to his duties soon.
