A Police CID with the Donkorkrom District Police Command in the Eastern Region has been attacked by a herder in an attempt to enforce an arrest warrant.
The suspect identified as Amadu injured the Police Officer, disarmed and absconded with his AK47 rifle.
The incident occurred Saturday in Atiwlami, a farming community in the Afram Plains North District.
The Police officer -Daniel Afedo – who was seriously injured has since been admitted at Donkorkrom Presbyterian Hospital.
Starr News has gathered from a source close to the Police that the rifle has been retrieved but the suspect is at large.
