Sammy Gyamfi, Communications Director of the opposition NDC, has accused Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame of avoiding swearing under oath by delegating his deposition to a Principal State Attorney.
Gyamfi suggested that Dame's avoidance is due to the potential consequences of lying under oath. This criticism followed Dame's decision not to respond directly to Richard Jakpa’s allegations in court.
Private Legal Practitioner Martin Luther Kpebu noted that Dame's delegation is legally permissible but weakens his case.
The rulings on the applications related to the ambulance procurement trial are expected on June 6.
