At the close of filing on Friday, 19th July 2019, Ketu South Constituency in the Volta Region known as the “World Bank” of the National Democratic Congress recorded five people successfully filing their nomination papers to replace outgoing MP Fifi Kwetey.
The people who filed are Caroline Kudah-Parker and Foga Nukunu. The rest are Joseph Kwasi Nyavi, Nicholas Worclachie and Dzifa Gomashie
Meanwhile, three other persons: Johnson Koffie Kporha, Godson Bill Ocloo and Kafui Nyasorgbor have withdrawn from the race.
A statement issued and signed by the Constituency Secretary, Desmond Kwaku Tsewu said, “We extend our profound appreciation to the entire NDC family in the Constituency for your support and cooperation”.
“To those who have filed, our prayers are with you during the vetting,” he prays.
He, however, applauded “the courage of those who have withdrawn and wish them well in future endeavours”.
