Mahama must be blamed for promoting gay activities in Ghana - Andy Owusu

An aide to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Andy Owusu, has blamed ex-president Mahama for openly supporting activities of gays in Ghana knowing very well that majority of the citizens abhor such act.

In a statement issued by Mr. Andy Owusu, he stated that duing the tenure of ex-president Mahama, he gave “signals he has opened the door and approved gay activists.”

GHANAIAN GAYS COMING PUBLIC; BLAME MAHAMA

As a cultured society, we collectively reject behaviours like gayism and lesbianism which are contrary to the norms and traditions of our country.

In most cases, people who engage in such act do them secretly and so, it becomes wierd when one openly professes in Ghana, to be a gay.

It was sad to see how two young ladies openly and shamelessly put their act of lesbianism on video recording and circulate it. An act I find shameful, very awkward and condemnable.

An unfortunate situation, I will not fault or blame anybody but, ex-president Mahama. He is the public figure in Ghana, who in most cases has been seen together with Andrew Solomon, a worldwide known gay activists. A gay activist ex-president Mahama shamelessly took a lot of pictures with during his time as President of Ghana. He gave signals he has opened the door and approved gay activists.

Our leaders are pace setters and it is believed that the young in our society learn from them. During ex-president Mahama's tenure in office, we could all see his closeness to the gay activist, Andrew Solomon, a situation I fond unfortunate.

So, some young Ghanaian who are friends with gays justify their unacceptable actions that, 'if a President can be friends to gays and gay activists, then they find nothing wrong with it'. A luring strategy these gays and lesbians use to indoctrinate the Ghanain youth.

In this regard, I would want to urge our politicians, leaders and public figures to disassociate themselves from gays, lesbians and activists of these unethical conduct. Because, they must know the youth in our country see them as frontrunners, pace setters and people the young ones learn from.

I also, wish to advice the youth to equally be circumspect of what they copy from these public figure. The Ghanaian youth has a duty to take care of themselves and also, protect their future from these unacceptable conducts.
