A 29-year-old man, Faisal Muniru, has been stabbed by his friend, Ziad Osman to death with a “jackknife” at Wa in the Upper West Region.
This was after the two had a confrontation.
It is unclear what caused the fight, but information indicates that Ziad Osman threatened to kill Faisal Muniru when they had the confrontation.
On his way to make an official complaint at the police station about his death threat, Faisal Muniru met Ziad Osman on the way where the suspect attacked him and stabbed him on his chest.
It was reported that the knife broke into the chest of the victim and he was rushed to the Upper West Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
However, the suspect, who tried to escape from the Region was busted by the police and currently assisting the police with investigations.
The Public Relations Officer of the Upper West Regional Police Command, Chief Inspector Gideon Ohene Boateng called on the general public to be careful not to take the law into their hands, bemoaning the state of murder cases in the Region.
