Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has postponed its delegate’s conference which was slated for 28 October 2018 to November, 3, 2018.
Mr Nketia, made the announcement during a media interaction at the party’s headquarters in Accra today, Thursday, September 6, 2018.
The decision, according to NDC Chief Scribe, John Asiedu Nketia, follows an advice by the Council of Elders of the party, at its emergency meeting.
According to him, the Council of Elders of the party have also advised that the delegates’ conference be held on 3 November 2018 at the International Trade Fair Centre in Accra. To this end, deadline for the submission of nomination forms for its national delegates’ conference has been extended by an additional two weeks.
This means the 5 September deadline has now been extended to 19 September 2018.
So far, about 100 aspirants have picked forms to contest for the various executive positions in the party.
