'NDC will expose ‘corrupt and incompetent’ Akufo-Addo - Yammin replies A/R Minister

Members and executives of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have descended heavily on Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon Simon Osei Mensah for describing former President John Mahama as ‘Dirty Pig’ and also accusing the party of planning evil in Ashanti Region to win more votes in the 2020 elections.

MyNewsGh.com on Monday April 1, 2019 reported that Ashanti Region Minister Hon Simon Osei Mensah likened former President of Ghana and flagbearer of the NDC to a “dirty pig” that must not be given any chance at the presidency again.

Speaking at the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2019 Ashanti Regional Youth Conference and Inauguration in Kumasi last Saturday, Mr Osei Mensah called the former president a “thief who wants to come back to loot the state”, amidst loud cheers from the audience, including Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, CEOs of some state institutions and some MMDCEs.

The Minister also disclosed that his outfit has picked intelligence of machinations by the NDC to foment trouble in order to smoothen its paths in the region to win more votes.

But the Former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister under former President John Mahama administration. Joseph Yammin who was commenting on the Minister’s statement, said members of the party at the grassroots and executives of the NDC will never waste time to plot evil in the Ashanti Region just to win votes but will dwell on corruption and incompetence which are evident in this government to win the polls.

According to Joseph Yammin, NDC as a party respects and cherishes the peace Ghanaians are enjoying saying NDC will not do anything to destroy the peace of this country because of votes.

“NDC will not win 2020 elections based on violence. NDC will never plot evil in Ashanti region because it is just a time wasting to plot evil. NDC will continue to expose the corruption under President Akufo-Addo government. NDC will continue to expose the incompetence of President Akufo -Addo. President Akufo -Addo is a failure and exposing him will give NDC power not evil plan” he observed.

Joseph Yammin added that people in Ashanti Region have regretted voting against John Mahama due to hardship and insecurity under Akufo-Addo government and have now resolved to they will vote massively for John Mahama based on his developmental projects in the region which has been abandoned by the current administration.
