IGP's meeting with heads of political parties in Accra
The National Elections Security Taskforce (NESTF), chaired by IGP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, held a critical meeting with political party leaders on November 21, 2024, to finalize security arrangements for the upcoming December elections.
The IGP emphasized the Taskforce's commitment to professionalism, impartiality, and adherence to the rule of law, assuring stakeholders of a secure electoral process.
He commended political parties for peaceful campaigns and urged them to prepare for both victory and defeat, emphasizing, “The true winner of this election is Ghana.”
Representatives raised security and electoral concerns, which were addressed by the Taskforce and the Electoral Commission.
