Ex-President John Mahama has been given a privileged doctorate certificate by a Nigerian university. The Igbinedion University, Okada, gave the renowned honor on the former Ghana president on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at its sixteenth convocation.
Igbinedion University, Okada is the first private university in Nigeria, established in 1999. Mr Mahama lost his re-appointment offer in 2016 to Mr Nana Akufo-Addo by one million votes. He turned into the primary Ghanaian president to lose a race after his first term.
He is looking to win his party’s flagbearership in a bid to challenge in the 2020 race.
