One person is feared dead as robbers on a motorbike allegedly attempted to snatch money from a black market forex dealer in Ashtown, a suburb of Kumasi.
Ultimate FM’s Isaac Bediako reported that the police have not been able to confirm if the victim is dead or not, but are have left the scene to the Okomfo ANokye Teaching Hospital where he was sent to.
The robbers allegedly wanted to snatch the victim’s money, but he hesitated and was shot amidst the struggle.
Residents have reportedly expressed shock, as such incidents of daylight robbery is rare in the area.
The police have promised to have an official briefing within the next 24 hours.
